My top performing cold email is 197 words.

Most marketing advice comes from vendors selling you tools or thought leaders pushing expired tactics.

Marketing is like fashion: there are some timeless tactics, and then there are mullets.

The timeless marketing principles:

  • Be human
  • Be remarkable
  • Be generous
  • Be a mind reader

Everything else is a mullet.
